Gecko Budget ("the App") is developed by Grzegorz Czernatowicz @ Gecko Code ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use Gecko Budget.
Gecko Budget does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app stores all data exclusively on your device. No data is sent to our servers, any third-party servers, or any cloud service. There is no network communication of any kind initiated by the app.
The app can ask for specific Android permissions to enable additional functions. These permissions are used locally on your device only.
Gecko Budget can optionally read notifications from apps you whitelist (such as banking or payment apps). This is used solely to detect transaction confirmations, extract transaction details (merchant, amount, currency) and create local records. All processing happens on your device - no notification content is ever transmitted externally. You may disable this permission at any time.
The app may request storage permissions to save or import backup files to/from your Documents folder. No file contents are transmitted externally. On Android 14+ the app uses the Storage Access Framework (SAF), which requires no storage permissions.
The app may display local notifications about budget limits. These are generated entirely on your device.

Gecko Budget does not use any third-party services or SDKs that collect data. No analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or API integrations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
